For its new and seventh 2026/2027 season, the Galerie du Lendemain presents a unique series of solo exhibitions.

The first exhibition of the season is dedicated to photography, featuring Douglas Arthur Pierce’s “Heavenly Creatures” his first solo show for the Galerie du Lendemain, following his participation in the group exhibition “Les Portes du rêve” in spring 2026.

Douglas Arthur Pierce’s choice of subjects is consistent in its exploration of fragility and vulnerability in men.

To expose the more introspective side, the one that questions the established order, that refutes social norms, that rejects the dictates established for generations to create the heteronormative “perfect man,” and thus break with a part of the new generation that doesn’t recognize itself in this overabundance of superficial virility with its dangerously extremist undertones…

Douglas Arthur Pierce casts his gaze, as if holding up a mirror to those who live by opening themselves to life’s pleasures, letting, in turn, the artificial lights of the night take hold of their bodies, the heat of summer lead them astray, the intimacy of a romantic alcove conducive to the pursuit of hedonistic sensations…

The deliberate gentleness of each moment, the sensuality expressed in every gesture, and the erotic tension that hangs all around allow each viewer’s spirit to soar to the heavens to join these “creatures.”
