Douglas Arthur Pierce’s artistic vision finds inspiration in numerous sources: ancient and baroque sculpture, painting (especially of the Renaissance and Baroque), cinema, greek mythology, the aesthetics of Friedrich Nietzsche …
Thanks to his education, the artist was able to study art history, drawing and painting from a young age. He also studied Classics, the ancient world of the Mediterranean bassin more largely, and music among other subjects. Later he would study aesthetics as a part of his Philosophy studies at The Sorbonne.

He was born in Minnesota (USA). He lives and works in Paris.
