Anne Emery's mediums are painting, drawing and video. Her work is interested particularly to the concept of color which for her is a given specifically contemporary. In her paintings, objects, characters and spaces respond to each other. She puts forward the elastic notion of time and the links which may exist between the figuration and abstraction. The color that is both physical and intangible support this idea. She uses color elements which she calls the "intriguing." These elements abstracts have no other utility than that of not having one, that's what they're intriguing about.
