Thomas Z. aka Zunderlust is a photographer and artist who’s works will be shown for the very first time for the exhibition DREAMERS. From his first attempts with analog photography to the random game of smartphone photography, passing by street art interventions and experimental video making, he opens a fashion trained eye to new horizons.
Spontaneous photographer and field worker, he starts walking around Paris during the 90’s with an art group playing with billboards and wall sculptures in order to walk the streets as a playground. He pursues those amused experiments next to and within his work with fashion that he uses in a short movie entitled « Zunderlust ».
This first group of works passes an intimate photography into the critical space of the gallery that allows a completely different regard towards this self made practice. Combining spontaneous images with their corresponding settings, Zunderlust escapes photography without completely passing into pictoriality and plays with this border. If art is a game, it’s a serious game.
