Gabriel Mrabi is a Paris-based photographer. He discovered photography through My Last Summer, a series created at a surf camp while he was studying cinema. With To Buñuel, a photographic letter addressed to filmmaker Luis Buñuel, he continued his quest for timeless imagery, earning the American Vintage Prize at Villa Noailles in 2025.
He has since viewed photography as an exercise in learning to make films, with each series serving as a laboratory for timelessness. He extends this exploration with his new work, Island Scenes, his first series of color photographs.
